WIPPASS TERMS OF SERVICE
1. ABOUT WIPPASS
WIPPASS is an event technology platform available through wippass.africa and related WIPPASS services. WIPPASS provides tools for event discovery, ticketing, registrations, payments, digital passes, check-in, event communications, social Moments, reviews and related event services.
Unless WIPPASS is expressly identified as the organizer of a particular event, WIPPASS is not the producer, promoter, venue owner or operator of that event. The Event Organizer is responsible for producing and delivering the event.
2. ACCEPTANCE
By creating an account, using WIPPASS, acquiring a ticket or pass, making a payment, submitting content or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms, the WIPPASS Refund & Event Cancellation Policy, any event-specific terms shown before purchase, and any other policies expressly incorporated into these Terms.
For ticket checkout, WIPPASS may require separate affirmative acceptance of these Terms and the Refund & Event Cancellation Policy. Acceptance may be recorded electronically together with the applicable policy version and transaction details.
3. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS
You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you use WIPPASS on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must promptly notify WIPPASS through its official support channel if you reasonably believe your account or ticket has been compromised.
4. EVENT INFORMATION
Event descriptions, dates, venues, performers, schedules, age requirements, dress codes, accessibility information and other event details may be supplied by Event Organizers.
Organizers must provide accurate and non-misleading information. WIPPASS may review, correct, suspend or remove event content where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce platform rules or reduce fraud and chargeback risk.
5. TICKETS, PASSES AND ADMISSION
A WIPPASS ticket or digital pass is evidence of the holder's right to seek admission subject to the event's stated conditions and applicable law. A ticket does not guarantee admission where lawful entry conditions are not satisfied, for example age restrictions, security screening, venue rules, invalid or duplicated passes, prior redemption, or conduct creating a legitimate safety risk.
WIPPASS may use QR codes, rotating codes, account ownership, device authentication, transfer controls and other security measures to reduce fraud and unauthorized duplication.
6. PAYMENTS
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including Paystack. Payment authorization does not by itself complete a ticket order. WIPPASS may verify the transaction server-side before issuing or confirming passes.
Prices, taxes, service charges, processing charges and organizer charges that apply to a purchase should be disclosed before payment. WIPPASS may refuse, reverse or investigate transactions where there is evidence of fraud, duplicate payment, amount mismatch, unauthorized use or other material risk.
7. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
Refunds and event cancellations are governed by the WIPPASS Refund & Event Cancellation Policy and the event-specific refund policy presented before purchase.
An event-specific policy cannot remove mandatory rights under applicable law or WIPPASS minimum refund requirements. Where an event is cancelled, materially not delivered, oversold, inaccessible through organizer fault, or otherwise falls within a mandatory refund category, WIPPASS may require or facilitate a refund regardless of an organizer's ordinary voluntary refund setting.
8. TRANSFERS
Where ticket transfer is available, the original purchaser remains responsible for the accuracy of transfer details until the transfer is completed. A transferred ticket remains subject to the terms and refund policy attached to the original purchase.
Unless required otherwise by law, an approved refund will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method or original purchaser.
9. CHECK-IN AND VERIFIED ATTENDANCE
WIPPASS may record whether a ticket has been checked in or redeemed. Check-in records may be used for entry control, fraud prevention, support, verified attendance features, verified reviews, disputes and chargeback evidence.
Except where mandatory law or material event non-performance requires otherwise, a ticket that has been successfully used or checked in will ordinarily not qualify for a voluntary cancellation refund.
10. USER CONTENT AND MOMENTS
Users may post photos, videos, captions, comments, reviews and other content where WIPPASS provides those features.
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant WIPPASS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, distribute, resize, transcode and technically process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and improve WIPPASS and the relevant event experience.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, threatening, sexually exploitative, malicious, privacy-invasive or otherwise prohibited by WIPPASS rules.
11. REVIEWS
Where WIPPASS labels a review as a Verified Attendee review, that label means the reviewing WIPPASS account satisfied WIPPASS's technical attendance criteria, such as being linked to a checked-in ticket. It is not an endorsement of the review's opinion.
Organizers may respond to reviews where the platform allows, but WIPPASS may preserve legitimate negative reviews in the interests of trust and transparency.
12. PROHIBITED USE
You must not use WIPPASS to commit fraud, evade payment, manipulate ticket inventory, scrape or attack the service, distribute malware, impersonate another person, interfere with check-in systems, bypass security controls, sell unlawful goods or services, or conduct events prohibited by applicable law.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
WIPPASS branding, software, interfaces, databases, designs and platform materials are owned by WIPPASS or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of WIPPASS intellectual property to you.
14. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
WIPPASS may rely on payment processors, cloud providers, messaging providers, video delivery services, mapping services and other third parties. Those services may be subject to separate terms and may occasionally be unavailable.
WIPPASS is not responsible for a third-party service to the extent the issue is outside WIPPASS's reasonable control, subject always to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. SERVICE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES
WIPPASS may modify, improve, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, product development or business operations.
WIPPASS does not promise uninterrupted availability. We will use reasonable efforts to maintain service reliability appropriate to an event platform.
16. FRAUD, SECURITY AND INVESTIGATIONS
WIPPASS may suspend a transaction, ticket, payout, account or event while investigating suspected fraud, unauthorized payment, policy breach, safety risk, chargeback risk or legal requirements.
WIPPASS may preserve and provide relevant transaction, acceptance, ticket, communication and check-in records to payment providers, financial institutions, regulators, law-enforcement authorities or courts where legally permitted or required.
17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WIPPASS is not liable for an Event Organizer's acts or omissions, artist cancellation, venue operations, attendee conduct, travel costs, accommodation costs or consequential losses arising from an event WIPPASS did not organize.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
Where WIPPASS is legally liable and the law permits a contractual limitation, WIPPASS's aggregate liability relating to a particular ticket transaction will not exceed the amount paid to WIPPASS in connection with that transaction, except where a higher amount is required by applicable law.
18. INDEMNITY FOR MISUSE
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify WIPPASS against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of WIPPASS, infringement of another person's rights, fraud, or material breach of these Terms.
This clause does not apply to losses caused by WIPPASS's own unlawful conduct.
19. PRIVACY
WIPPASS processes personal data to provide accounts, ticketing, payments, fraud prevention, support, event communications, attendance features and other platform functions. Personal-data processing is subject to WIPPASS's applicable privacy notice and data-protection obligations.
20. DISPUTES AND GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without depriving a consumer of mandatory rights that apply under another law where those rights cannot legally be excluded.
Before commencing formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact WIPPASS through its official support channel so the matter can be investigated and resolved where possible.
21. CHANGES AND VERSIONING
WIPPASS may update these Terms prospectively. The version affirmatively accepted for a ticket order may be recorded with that order. WIPPASS will not use a later version to retroactively remove rights attached to an existing transaction where doing so would be unlawful or unfair.
22. ELECTRONIC RECORDS
You agree that electronic checkboxes, server timestamps, account identifiers, transaction references and stored policy versions may be used as evidence of acceptance and transaction history to the extent permitted by law.
23. SEVERABILITY
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be applied to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
24. CONTACT
Questions about these Terms should be submitted through the official WIPPASS support channel available on wippass.africa.
